The Browns have traded for Seahawks backup QB Seneca Wallace(notes), multiple media outlets reported Monday night. According to The Associated Press, the Browns will send Seattle an undisclosed 2011 draft pick to complete the deal.
The 29-year-old Wallace has made 14 starts in seven NFL seasons, including two in 2009. He played for Mike Holmgren, now the Browns’ president, from 2003-08. For his career, Wallace has completed 333-of-556 passes for 3,547 yards with 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
It is unclear where Wallace fits in the Browns’ QB pecking order. However, Cleveland was expected to shake up its QB ranks after Derek Anderson(notes) and Brady Quinn(notes) struggled last season.
