L.T. to visit Jets

Post by Tennessee Titans jerseys

LaDainian Tomlinson(notes) is running a sweep route toward the New York Jets after not signing with the Minnesota Vikings during a visit that concluded tonight.
The former San Diego Chargers star running back reportedly enjoyed his meeting with the Vikings.
"If the Jets really want Tomlinson, they’ll have to bring it," Sports Illustrated’s Jim Trotter wrote on his Twitter account. "Vikes really wowed him. Said he could see himself playing there."
After jettisoning Thomas Jones(notes), the Jets could use some depth. However, they are expecting Leon Washington(notes) back from his broken leg.
And the Vikings envision Tomlinson as a potential replacement for Chester Taylor(notes), who signed with the Chicago Bears.
Tomlinson reportedly has other pending visits set up, but, for now, it’s between the Jets and the Vikings in a battle of the boardroom.
Tomlinson left the Vikings visit holding onto a purple Vikings jersey.
According to the Associated Press, he didn’t issue any comments before leaving team headquarters in a limousine.
